Thanks to a new partnership with Diepensteyn and the conversion of an existing loan into capital Eddy Merckx Holding has been able to increase its capital by 7.4 million euros. With the completion of this financial operation the high end bicycle manufacturer is ready to face the future with confidence. 

Eddy Merckx Cycles opened its spanking new building in Zellik on Friday, 13 May. The Cannibal opened the new factory in style, by succesfully smashing a bottle of champagne into the factory's wall. The Belgian radio station Studio Brussel was present with "Zet 'm op Bram" and Tomas De Soete and Ozakr Henry climbed the Galibier on a Tacx trainer.
