Dylan Vandenstorme shines with the Eddy Merckx Corsa Titanium at the UCI Gravel World Championships

  • News
Last Sunday, the Eddy Merckx Corsa Titanium attracted plenty of attention at the UCI Gravel World Championships, where Dylan Vandenstorme took on the world’s best. The idea came from our R&D manager, who proposed testing the bike in the most prestigious race of the season — a challenge the 23-year-old Team Flanders-Baloise rider gladly accepted. Dylan pushed through to finish 112th, joking afterwards that he wouldn’t mind keeping the bike.

Our renowned Corsa steel line will expand in 2026 with a titanium range. Titanium offers exceptional corrosion resistance and even greater fatigue strength. Naturally, these masterpieces must first undergo an extensive testing phase — and what better place to do that than at the Gravel World Championships, where nature and performance truly collide?

Dylan helped us put the bike to the test, building his machine with a Shimano Deore XT rear derailleur and cassette, Wolftooth 50T chainring, Wolftooth small parts, FFWD Drift wheels, and Vittoria Terreno Dry tires. With a 47 mm tire clearance, UDH, and internal cable routing, the Corsa Titanium combines vintage allure with modern performance. The test proved a success, allowing us to move toward the final stage before production. Expect more news on our titanium range in 2026.
