How Eddy Merckx Bikes Prepared a Yellow-Green and Polka-Dot Bike for the Tour in the Dead of Night

Eddy Merckx Bikes has a rich history in cycling. One of the highlights was during the 2010 Tour de France, when we were the bike supplier for Quickstep-Innergetic. After Sylvain Chavanel's victory in Spa, we suddenly had the yellow jersey, green jersey, and polka-dot jersey in our ranks. We worked tirelessly deep into the night to steal the show the next day.

Last Thursday, June 13th, we organized a social ride around the Baloise Belgium Tour. Starting from our factory in Beringen, we explored the final stage of the third leg to Scherpenheuvel and stopped at the large mural of Eddy Merckx.

Collector Philip has seven bikes from Eddy Merckx: "We Belgians can be proud of this brand".

At Eddy Merckx Bikes, we have a number of very loyal fans. Philip Decock (54) from Kluisbergen is one of them. About thirty years ago, he bought his first Eddy Merckx, then still the bike supplier for the American Motorola team. In 2024, he is still a customer with us.
