With the 525R, we introduce a new performance road bike built around the rider. Its geometry is based on modern bike fitting principles and developed to help cyclists sustain an aerodynamic position without compromising comfort. Together with a lightweight carbon frame and aerodynamic tube profiles, this results in a race bike that translates efficiency into real speed on the road.


Versatility without compromise

With clearance for tires up to 34 mm, the 525R offers more versatility than traditional aero bikes. This makes it suitable for a wide range of routes and conditions, without sacrificing speed or performance. A true all-round performance machine for the modern rider.

The seat tube angle varies by frame size and becomes steeper as the size increases. This ensures that each rider’s hip angle remains optimal and consistent, regardless of body height. In combination with the adjusted geometry, this results in efficient power transfer and a natural pedaling motion, without the need to readjust your position.

Asymmetric front fork

The asymmetric front fork has been developed to better handle crosswinds and turbulent airflow. By controlling and guiding the airflow, the bike remains more stable in changing conditions. This gives the rider added confidence and control, even at high speeds or on exposed, windy routes.

Advanced aerodynamics

The 525R builds on proven aerodynamic concepts, featuring a down tube inspired by the latest aero platforms and a diffuser in the fork crown that optimizes airflow. Every detail—from tube shapes to transitions—has been designed to minimize drag. The result is the fastest bike Eddy Merckx has ever developed.

Progressive geometry

The 525R is built around a completely new, progressive geometry that optimizes the rider and bike as one aerodynamic system. Through a combination of an adjusted seat tube angle, longer reach, and a higher head tube, an efficient, aggressive position is created that perfectly meets the demands of modern cycling.
