Faster and cleaner
The fully integrated cable routing has multiple benefits. The biggest performance benefit comes from improved aerodynamics, because there are no cables disturbing the airflow. Moreover, the cables are hidden and tucked away, so they don’t interfere with accessories like handlebar bags. Lastly, it makes for a beautiful, clean cockpit.
Optimal power transfer
The distinctive s-curved seat tubes of Eddy Merckx improve comfort and compliance while ensuring optimal power transfer and stiffness. This seat tube design is characteristic of Eddy Merckx bikes, contributing to their unique look and feel.
Perfectly balanced
Built for performance
The 525 frame set was designed with aerodynamic performance in mind by using aero optimized tube shapes, a fork crown integrated into the down tube and a single piece aero cockpit. The aero seat post is held in place by an internal seat post clamp. The high-end carbon fiber lay-up used in this frame brings the weight down despite all aerodynamic features.
Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH)
Every Eddy Merckx Corsa bicycle is equipped with a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH). The UDH is a standardised solution for attaching a bike's derailleur to the frame.
The UDH makes it easy to replace your derailleur, whatever brand it is. In addition, the hanger ensures better and more consistent shifting behaviour.
Handmade in Italy
Gravel frame
The Strasbourg's geometry is designed to handle the most challenging gravel rides. The low centre of gravity gives the bike a very smooth and controlled ride, allowing you to tackle rough terrain with confidence.
Tyres up to 48 mm fit on the Corsa Strasbourg.
Double / Triple butted tubes
With Double or Triple butted tubes, we're talking about two or three different tube thicknesses. The more tube thicknesses are used, the lighter the bike will be. The places where the tubes are welded together should be sturdier than in the middle, for example. Making this middle section thinner also saves weight.
Columbus steel
For the Corsa bikes, we use a mix of Columbus Zona and SL tubes.
The SL in Columbus 'SL' stands for 'Supper Leggera', or super light. It is the most famous Columbus set. Designed for high peformance. They are double butted seamless tubes that are cold worked. They are extremely resistant to metal fatigue.
Columbus Zona tubes are very strong and durable: they have excellent resistance, are reliable and well resistant to metal fatigue. Yet the weight of this type of tubes is relatively low. The steel consists of Triple/Double butted 25CroMo4 alloy seamless tubeset
This mix makes for a fast, agile and comfortable bike. A bike that reflects the typical characteristics of steel bikes resilience, robustness and durability.
Road geometry
The all-round road geometry provides a performance-oriented bike with direct steering. No matter how long you ride, this geometry ensures you are always comfortable on your bike. The maximum tyre width is 30 mm.
All-road frame
The geometry of the Corsa Pévèle combines the best of road and gravel bikes. The bottom bracket is slightly lower than on traditional road bikes. This ensures a lower centre of gravity, which translates into a controlled ride feel. The wheelbase, in turn, is just slightly shorter than that of a gravel bike, providing extra liveliness and responsiveness.
Tyre clearance goes up to a 40 mm tyre on a 1-chainring setup. If you have a setup with 2 chainrings, the tyre clearance goes up to 38 mm.
In addition, the Corsa Pévèle also has attachment points on the top tube as well as the down tube, giving you extra options for carrying panniers and other accessories.
With or without aero cockpit
You can opt for an aero cockpit. But you can also go for a traditional handlebar, or a combination: a 'Deda superbox' that elegantly conceals the cables.
Allround frame
For the frame of the Mendrisio, we use High Modulus Carbon. This is stiff but supple enough to bring long rides to an end without any worries. Combined with the all-round geometry, this results in a fast and versatile bike.
optimal ride feel
The distinctive curved seat stays of the Mendrisio improve comfort and compliance while ensuring optimal power transfer and stiffness. This seat tube design is characteristic of Eddy Merckx bikes, contributing to the unique look and feel of every Merckx bike. It results in a one of a kind ride feel.
The tyre clearance of the Mendrisio is 30 mm.
Easy maintenance
The brake cables and shift cables on the Pévèle St run externally. This makes maintenance easier.
Easy to adapt to your needs
- 2 mounting points on the downtube
- 2 mounting points on the top tub
- 2 mounting points on the bottom of the bike for an extra water bottle or extra equipment
- attachment points at the rear fork for easy mudguard mounting
For tyres up to 45 mm
With a 1x setup, tyres up to 45 mm fit on the Pévèle St. With a 2x setup, tyres up to 42 mm fit.
Double the fun
The geometry of the Pévèle combines the best of road and gravel bikes. The bottom bracket is slightly lower than on traditional road bikes. This creates a lower centre of gravity, which translates into a controlled ride feel. The wheelbase, in turn, is just slightly shorter than that of a gravel bike, providing extra liveliness and responsiveness.
Optimal watt transmission
The distinctive curved seat tubes of Eddy Merckx improve comfort and compliance while ensuring optimal power transfer and stiffness. This seat tube design is characteristic of the carbon Eddy Merckx bikes, contributing to the unique look and feel.
Maximum freedom of choice
We wanted to make a bike that is equally at home on paved road as on dirt roads. With the Pévèle C you can do both. Tyre clearance goes up to a 40 mm tyre on a 1-chainring setup . If you have a setup with 2 chainrings, the tyre clearance goes up to 38 mm.
Cleverly positioned mounting point allow you to carry everything you need while riding. The integrated dynamo cable routing lets you mount a lighting system without any exposed cables. The front derailleur clamp can be removed when you want to ride with a single ring, such as the Classified Powershift system.
Futhermore, you can choose whether you go for a road or rather a gravel-oriented setup in our configurator.
Heritage design
Our steel and aluminium bikes are modern bikes with a retro touch. this is particularly evident in the colour scheme for the paintwork, and in the vintage Eddy Merckx logo.
Tyres up to 45 mm
On the Pévèle A, you can fit tyres up to 45 mm.
Rack and mud guard mounts
You can mount a luggage carrier and/or mudguards. So you can turn your Strasbourg St into a travel bike, commuter bike or adventure bike.
Multi-use frame
The Strasbourg St is versatile. Tyres up to 45 mm fit a 1 x setup. With a 2x setup, tyres up to 42 mm fit. Moreover, you can equip the bike entirely as you wish thanks to the many mounting points. These can be found on the top and down tubes, but also on the front fork.
So you can finish your bike entirely to your own taste: with mudguards, a bag on the top tube, a third water bottle for long tours,... You decide it all yourself to suit your rides.
Strasbourg gravel fork
The Strasbourg gravel fork is ready for any adventure you can throw at it. The fork has three extra mounts on each fork leg that allow you to carry extra luggage or water bottles. If you ride in foul weather, you can also mount mud guards using the mud guard specific mounting points. The tapered steerer ensures reactive handling.
